I have been tainted after reading all the tool threads here. My crappy craftsman ratchets got on my last nerve Wednesday night when I used them so I made decision it's time for for snap-on goodies.

Just won:
THL936A 1/4" Drive soft handle ratchet
FH936A 3/8' Drive Soft handle ratchet

Now I need to work on some dual 80 finds looking, watching a TL72 and FHL80 hmm might be some new additions. Only if I could find a deal like bigsean did.

Nice score. Out of my financial league though. I went old-school and "won" a PLOMB 5449 1/2 Ratchet. Love that handle. Can't wait to get it.

GENERAL TOOL DISCUSSION WARNING:
Reading these boards May Result in intense, deep, inner feelings of disgust with your current collection of cheap tools, a sudden strong desire for tools that "just work", a appreciation for professional grade tools; even if you aren't a professional, a new found "need" to acquire these tools, upon acquisition of said tools; a deep sense of satisfaction when the right tool for the job is in your hand, helps you get the job done right and as efficiently as possible!

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS WARNING:
Reduction in personal income may follow; as your new found tool "needs" become more apparent and your ability to stand cheap tools diminishes!
When visiting professional service establishments, you may find yourself looking for the nearest collection of rollaways to ogle; you will look at each brand of tools the technicians are using, while in the past you could have cared less, you may find yourself blurting out questions like; "what kind of rollaway do you have" or "when does the Snap-On guy come by here." When driving, the sight of a tool truck; may cause your vehicle to automatically follow the truck until it stops at its destination! TV or Movies that show the use of tools will become moments of intense focus as you try to ascertain what brand and models of tools are being used. Flea markets and pawn shops may become a irresistible destinations in your continued quest for new tools and your web browser may automatically go to eBay without you even typing in the URL. As you acquire quality tools, the low quality tools in your toolbox may create emotional "problems" for you as they do not fulfill your new found "need" for professional grade tools! If you do not have a rollaway toolbox; a strong desire and acquisition of one will soon follow!
You Have Been Warned! These boards have been known to cause tool addiction!:bounce:

You did good ... the 80 tooth's have big ol' heads on them ... they look like freaking sperm cells.

lol I will have to remember that. I am going to pickup a fhl80 next and then move onto a THL72. I want to go all dual 80 soft grip stuff. Sad part is I need more tool box space already. I am really eye balling the kobalt ss 41" box and the hf ss 41" box.

If you're lucky enough to find a eBay Snap On seller that happens to be in your area, send a PM and ask about local pickup. I got my TL72 and F80 for a deal and a half.

BAM!!!! You are rocking on your Snap-On collection! Are you "standardizing" on Snap-On and getting rid of your cheap stuff? I would like to do that someday! All those shiny tools.... ooohh!
:bounce:

well kinda of my tool box was pretty bare so I haven't really had to swap out much. just cman ratchets and screwdrivers. I think I am going to stick to so and gearwrench for now.

I will prob only do a few more smaller things.. I need some hammers, pliers (misc set), hex sockets, torx sockets, metric flare wrench set, and 1/2 so ratchet soft grip. Also need to clean up some misc wrench sets and sockets. Then maybe last but not least a few 80 tooth ratchets when i find em cheap enough.

I do need to start saving for a bigger box though :(

PS one last one for tonight http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-...emZ260236933679QQcategoryZ43992QQcmdZViewItem

Don't toss them quite yet. I went through sets of all three sizes at Sears before I got pissed and fixed them myself. Pull them apart, clean them, stretch the spriing out and put it back together. One word of advice though, when you pulll it apart, do it in a shoebox so you don't drop the ball bearing on the floor. Once it hits the floor it's smaller than a fly turd and almost impossible to find. I know, I did it twice.:lol_hitti

I wasn't think of tossing them, maybe selling them on ebay. Figure it could help go to my so fund :).
