I recently had my garage floor professionally refinished with a full-flake system with joints filled. There are a few things that I’d like opinion on.
For each of these I’m trying to decide if what I see is normal, or is poor workmanship and should bring up the issue with the contractor:
The first is the joint seams - they are visibly darker and not all that smooth.
Also, the finish doesn’t go over that lip edge at the front of the garage (where the cars enter and would taken a beating).
Finally, the epoxy coating is applied lighter at the front of the garage - to where I can brush my hand over the edge and the flakes come off. The epoxy is way thicker in some areas and thinner in others.
Any thought to these things as far as if it’s normal, or how they couldn’t have happened in the process?
Thanks!
