Hi guys,

Friend showed me this forum, and I must say I'm very impressed by a lot of the garages up here. I'm from Vancouver, BC and mainly just looking to do some basic renovations to my garage over the winter/spring.

A little background about me, I do a lot of detailing so I'm looking to get some lighting put into my garage, currently my lighting is pathetic. Especially for the work that I do. I had no idea how much calculation goes into choosing your lighting. But anyways, I'm looking for a basic guide on how to choose what kind of lighting you want and everything that goes along with it. I've looked for a sticky thread but havent found anything. Also looking to see which epoxy coating gives the best results durability wise. I'll lurk around a bit more though.

As for what goes into the garage, I drive an 06 Evo IX MR. A lot of my friends have STi's and other cars that are track whores. I'm looking to clean up the garage a bit so it'd be a nice place to put in work:beer:. Here are some pics the day I got my car.

And here is my garage. It's very poorly lit, in this picture there is a work light lighting up the side of the garage. Other than that it's just 4 incandescent light bulbs :(:(

Looking forward to renovating my garage for the spring and seeing what ideas you guys have for me!

Thanks,
Brendan:beer:

Welcome! Wow, that a pretty big garage for a house in Vancouver. Most of the houses I've seen you'd be lucky to get a car port. But lots of potential.

Nice! Welcome aboard. Great looking rides! The Lancer is turbo-charged to what kind of HP? I love that all your cars are white. White cars rule!!!
Check the flooring section for the eternal epoxy debate. There is always a discussion on what type works best for who, and more than a few companies that will want to sell you, so do a search and fire it up!

Thanks, yeah the lancer evolution is in simpler form a turbocharged lancer. Should put out about 330-340whp after a couple minor mods and a good tune. Stock their about 260-280 depending on elevation and dyno I would say. Not all of them are mine, just the evo. The STi on the far left is a homebuilt 700HP STi. I'll be sure to check it out.

Thanks! Yeah definitely lucky with that, can't wait to get it all done up for spring.
