Hey guys this is my first post. I been reading topics here for a while. But I never had any comments of any value.

My Delma is I'm currently building a new house and my attached garage is 23'x47' with 13.5' ceilings.

I'm planing on installing a 2 post lift in the future so I want to have my cement preped

and ready for that.

I'm considering a Mohawk lift for my 1ton truck. And was thinking on putting it about 14' from the garage door and I wanted the two locations in the cement to be about 3'x3' and a extra 4" deep to add to the thickness.

In the picture where the 2x4 piece of wood is it's at the 14' location.

Welcome bud. This is the hoist i bought, which is pretty much the industry standard on this board.

Minimum slab thickness is 4", so with the 8" you have planned, you're golden.

placement is up to you. I'm guessing you'll have projects at the back of the shop, and the hoist in the front?

Where the truck sets now is the back of the shop. And that's where I want my lift. The other two bays will be for parking/ storage.

Thanks guys. It's just as well for me to keep posting pics here as work progress along.

Ive planed to have two 230v single phase outlets as well. One for a future welder and another for a larger air compressor as well as a 220 overhead for my future lift. And ten 20amp outlets
The doors are to be 10x10 with high rise features.
As well as a exhaust fan and a 75,000btu heater.

I can't wait to go home and see it. I'm currently working away anxiously waiting to hear and see the updates. It's a lot of stress not being there to watch over things and making decisions over the phone and threw emails. I think I got what I should need for a good starting point.

Once the walls are insulated and vapour sealed and sheeted. I was thinking of placing rustic corrugated metal about 8' high for about 25' than drop its height to about 4' with a wooden boarder above if. And above that maybe go to a saw mill and see about cutting some boards to give the shop a rustic look and feel. Maybe various size widths to place up.
