For the last 8 years I have been using a roll-out vinyl for under my daily-driver. Because it holds water between it and an epoxy-floor... It gets stinky; And I'm tired of cleaning it. I'm ready to replace it with what-ever. Help?

It sounds like you may have condensation between the mat and floor or your mat is leaking water when you pull in after a rain. You may want to install a Drymate mat instead. It still holds water and has a waterproof bonded backing.

John & all: Although I had the epoxy floor done professionally... It didn't hold up. Tires pull-up the product, discolored by the sun's UV, scratches too easily for me... It has been 10 years and now time for a change.

Drymate

I'm reading the Drymate information now. Are you using this/these? I'm wondering about the salt/sand/shell from the PA roads and its effect on the them?

It sounds like you may be looking for a complete flooring solution? The Drymate mat does a good job of keeping that stuff from getting on your floor and will hold up fairly well if you clean it out from time to time. It sounded like you were looking for a solution to your old vinyl mat at first and is why I recommended you take a look at the Drymate mat.

Drymate?

Next question: It seems to me that this product/material is susceptible to bunching when the front tires are turned?

Solution installed!

Norsk tiles with borders and corners! Floor slants towards the middle to a drain… At first I was just going to leave the drain covered by the tiles... But if stepped on… The tiles would separate over the open drain. So I re-installed the drain cover… Better anyway since it will (still) match the other side. I also removed the old garage-door-threshold and replaced it with tile borders… I then added an additional row of tiles and border across the second bay to form a complete new threshold.

You may notice too that I have a rubber covering between the threshold and the edge of the black-top. It’s there for two reasons… 1) To cover the rough-edge of where the drive-way sealer borders the concrete 2) To cover any separation between the driveway edge and concrete that often happens from expansion and contraction. I mention this because… The old threshold was glued-down so I had to **** the rubber covering up-to it… Now I can just slide it under the tile-border. All set… All done!
