i need some help with my garage.... 1/2 the garage is devoted to my dads car, 1/4 is devoted to junk that my mom wont throw away adn teh other 1/4 is for me and my tools and junk. well i also have the side of my hosue which i can fit 3 cars with ease. i just recieved my IR ss3l3 compressor took about a month to delever from norhtern tools. well now i need to find a place to put it and how to run the airlines through out my garage and the side of my house.
i would like to have at least 2 drop lines in my garage one on each side of the garage, adn perferedly 3 drop lines on the side of my house, but i can do with 2.
i am planning on using coper pipes sicne it is the cheapest and easiest to use other than the plastic stuff. i dont know what size i would need or what exactly i would need. ive been hovering over this forum for the past week and look at set ups that felow members have, and i must say i am very impressed. well here is the space i have to work with.
the compressor
where i want to put the compressor (the corner by the garage door)
the rest of my garage
the side of my house where i work on cars
well thats what i have to work with, ill be drawing up a birds eye veiw of how i want to run the air lines or at least were i would like to be able to plug in an air tool at. i would like my set up to be expandable for the future. this is my parents house but they will let me do pratically anything i want. my dad is probablly as excited about this compressor as i am.
oh yea i would like to be able to use as much tools as possible (not all at once) but i have an uncle who is willing to ship a tire machine to me from new jeresy so i think that would be one of the lrger tools i will be using on my set up and it will go to as small as an angle die grinder. i would also like to use a sand blaster cabinet in the future. i know that its only a 3 hp mtor. its only me who is working on cars here, sometimes a few friends come here and work on cars too, so mutliple tools runing at once is goign to be kept to a very minimum since i only have 2 hands. :-D k well thanks alot.

My advice: yes make a cabinet but also install a timer so the unit stay off at night, just remember, if you have any leak down it will start the moment the power comes on; your electrician (Dad) should be able to sort all this.
