Hey guys. I've done a lot of looking on this forum and decided to join. I have a few buildings I'm looking to finish and seeking some advice.

First is my 36x40 garage that has 12' sidewalls. I want it to be unique but not too crazy. It's still a garage. I don't want to use OSB to finish it at all. Was looking at drywall on the top 8' and aluminum diamond plate on the bottom 4'. Just don't know how well the drywall will hold up. Have also thought about wood paneling. What have you guys done and do you have any suggestions? It will mostly be used to work on motorcycles and small projects for the farm. The floor is another question. Between paint/epoxy, polish, stain...I'm just lost. Again I want it to look unique but don't think it should cost more per square foot than the concrete did. It has floor heat if that makes a difference.

Second are my shops. They are both 160x80. Trying to figure out a floor for them. They also have floor heat but will have a lot more traffic. Not vehicles but forklifts, skid steers, tractors, combines...ect. Really looking for something that can stand up to they wear and tear of everyday use and not show many tire marks but looks nice at e same time.

Thanks for the help in advance guys,

I went with Latiseal concrete sealer/stain to seal and color my shop floor.
It is a penetrating sealer, not a top coating. Won't burn, chip, bubble, dissolve, etc.

You can apply more than once for deeper color.

maybe checkout some of those warehouse retail stores i have notice they are using some type of 2 part epoxy the only thing is, to make it stick for ever is to bead or shot blast the floor fist
the cheapest way is to clean the concrete then wax it with industrial floor wax/sealer
this is what they use in staples and many other store with bare concrete floors
its the skid steer that will cause the most problems with the surface

hope this helps

That looks good, I am considering using the same product. Can you tell me a little more about your prep, did you roll or pump spray apply, how long did it take to setup. I'm looking for a little more bold colord I am considering a high gloss clear sealer like I use on my exterior concrete for a wet look. Just curious on your impression of the product.
Thanks for your input.

I applied it with a pump sprayer, then rolled to evenly distribute.
You want the concrete to be clean and very dry. If there is moisture in it, the sealer doesn't penetrate as deeply.

This is what it looked like right after application:

After a week or so it was much lighter.

I like the look.. lots of color options and I am betting with a high gloss clear the color would pop. Just for reference what color did you use? I would like to compare to their color guide.

Hi, I would like to know how the floor in the new Menards is finished. It looks like polished concrete with a sealer. Very smooth but not slippery.

Jamie, this type of floor is burned with a power trowel, densified and buffed up with intermittent treatments of stain guard.

It mimics a grind/polish.

We supply the densifiers and stain guards to many contractors that perform this work.
