Hey guys,

I didn't see an Intro. section and I figured since I will be spending the majority of my time in this section, I would introduce myself here.

Basically, I'm just starting my own tool collection. My pops is a professional mechanic who owns his own shop, so I have already had a couple hand-me-downs as well as bought my own tools, so far.

The cars that demand these tools are my 2002 Twin-Turbo Corvette and a recent daily-driver addition, a 2000 Volvo S70. Also, I do side work on friend's cars when I am not too busy in the classroom or lab.

I have a couple pics of my toolbox below. This box has been sitting at my dad's shop for decades. He actually took it on a trade from one of his past employees that owed him money. He was going to throw it out when I told him that I would take it and clean it up. It does have one bad drawer on the bottom roller that is missing a rail, so if anyone has advice on where to possibly get this fixed or a part, that would greatly be appreciated. Anyway, this is a somewhat old Snap-On bottom roller and top box with a Matco side box. I had a local body shop friend paint it for me and it turned out to be a great first toolbox.

Specs on the Vette.....ie;how many sets of rear tires do you go through in a week?

I don't go through tires that often. I drive it very conservative the majority of the time.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

As for the box drawer situation, I went to look at the slider part number this morning and remembered that the top hangover portion of metal that actually hangs over the slider is broken off. I'm almost positive that a new drawer is needed. I am wanting a bigger box so I may put off buying it for a little while.

To answer a question above, my car put down 722 rwhp and 721 rwtq at 18psi in almost 100* weather. At night time it reaches almost 20psi so it probably makes just shy of 800 to the wheels at that time.
