John I’d suggest you take shorty up on his visqueen offer. Between that and the gallon jar of Vaseline the building company has recently presented you....you might be able to make a party out of this fiasco.
Heard back from TBS. " We apologize for any inconvenience. I have pulled your order and taken it directly to our scheduling department. We have a lot of jobs already scheduled, so your building will be delivered by the end of October at the earliest. You will be contacted about two weeks before delivery. "

John, the visqueen can help.
you can wrap the end by concrete around a 1x2 or whatever, tapcon to edge of slab. This will allow you to pull back the plastic when you go to regrade.
The best is to get it sodded, you’ll probably will have to stake some of the sod on the steeper parts.
Can you utilize the drains on the apron to help divert some of the water, even if you have to do some kind of temp outlet?
You may want to do sod sooner so it’ll have time to establish before things slow down growing.

Fursta all. It gets just as hot and humid from the east coast to the Rockies. Looks like the left coast is having great climate. Florida Crackers don’t call it hot, they call it bikini, beer, beaches or tubing climate.

I know I kept in touch with mine on the shed, then one call they seem to of magically had me on the schedule.

Landscapers started on what is supposed to be the cure for all the washout. They dug a "drainage basin" and a trench the length of the North side of the wall and apron. Lining it with visqueen, then filling with rock. This is supposed to catch and direct the run-off without washing the dirt onto the neighbor's property. We shall see.

Hope that solves the drainage problem. We went through a real mess last year when my neighbor brought in 100+ truckloads of dirt to prepare his building pad. Completely blocked the natural drainage off my lot, and re-directed his drainage onto my lot. Things got a little tense, to say the least. We worked it out, but lets just say we're not on each other's Christmas card list anymore.

John I just finished reading your entire thread (and subscribed), WOW! What an ordeal!! You have really been put through the wringer on this shop build. It makes all of my set backs look minuscule by comparison. I'm glad you finally got a firm build date. I know Shorty is getting impatient!

That’s good news. Did they leave the keys or code. I’d like to try out a telehandler. I’ll be out to get my last skateboarding session in before they start work.
After the landscaper finished his runoff repair he told me the best thing to do would be to sod everything. He quoted me $500 per palette of sod installed, needing about 14 palettes. YIKES !! NOT HAPPENING. Called a few places and got 6 palettes at $159 each. Installed by me. Backbreaking work, but I saved $6k .

Jay, I'm already about $25k over budget, so there's really no money to spend.
I'm actually getting nervous about tomorrow. After all the incompetence and unprofessionalism I've experience here in Florida I'm anticipating being on top of these installers every second.

In my experience, if you can get out of the ground/concrete on budget, the rest is pretty easy.
ground work is where all the big unknowns are, and has the highest potential to blow a budget
