I used to work at a place where the supply guy would go to the warehouse each day and come back with whatever had been received for the shop. He would walk in to the shop with a cardboard box and I would say "Whats in the box, *****". I was always loud when I said it and it always got everyone to stop what they were doing until the box got opened.

WHATS IN THE BOX, *****?

This is for ODIS. We had a pretty heavy rain a few days ago (and again last night). The retention pond filled to overflow level, then began to perc . Here's the aftermath of my 'leaf problem'. 7" gutters and 4"x5" downspouts, into 6" PVC drain lines.

Yep! Perfect planning for sure. Wish we had drainage like you have. Another video of the ground water and surface water run off from a two day rain event that brought us a total .65" of rain..........

Hope you like your new air compressor too.

See ya later!

^^^ Yeah! This was a couple of hours after it stopped raining so there is no down spout water in this video. Would have been fun to see this at full tilt but the tide was in then and no access to the outlet.

After going back and forth with insulation contractors and the price of closed cell foam continuing to rise, I decided I have so much invested that I just needed to move forward. Went back to the contractor who was the easiest to speak to and got on schedule to spray open cell foam in the shop. 3" in the lid and 2" in the walls.... $4500, as opposed to $12.5K !! I was scheduled for this past Wednesday, the lead installer of my scheduled crew fell off a scaffold on Monday. Re-scheduled for Friday and three guys showed up and went at it. The finished product is more like 3" everywhere. It's not a pretty product and I might paint the overhead stuff since it will remain exposed, but I can move forward. Now to find affordable plywood .

The way those guys work, it’s no wonder one fell off the scaffolding. I hate seeing guys risk life and limb for a few bucks.

Look again- One blue box and four grey ones should make you fall off the wagon , Jay.
OMG ! The horror ! I have BOXES of electrical stuff left over from jobs that I'm using up first, then buying whatever else I need. I had a couple of 250' rolls of 12/2 Romex and a 250' of 14/2. Several boxes of duplex receptacles, GFCI receptacles. Saved me a few bucks.

Wire is more than a “few” dollars saved......amazing how everything has gone up..... checking on chlorine tablet prices ....three times what I paid for them a year or so ago.

The rolls of 12/2 romex cost me $28 , and I think the 14/2 was less than $20. Probably 5 or 6 years ago.
I paid $140 for the extra roll of 12/2 I needed. And the 12/2/2 was $256 a roll !! :yikes:
