Hello dcmus, thanks for stopping by and looking at my shop project. I had a hard time deciding on the colors to use so it would be bright and clean looking. Being a grey building outside I wanted to keep it in the grey but not as dark. So we went lighter 2 shades of grey with the maroon accent.

We found the vinyl diamond plate tape to tie into the Gladiator wall & roller cabinets. That was just a dumb luck find by my better half. She was a lot of help in the whole process of painting the shop. I owe her big time for giving me so much of her vacation time to paint the shop.

Mine is actually green base, cream top, and red stripe but overall effect is very similar. I like it!

Green was my second choice. Our house is a light mint green with dark green trim. I though it would carry over nicely and I could use the same paint scheme but she said the green trim was too dark...

Done... Yesterday I finished the Rune project and moved it out. I managed to get most of the other stuff moved to the corner and out of the way. I love the new look and the brightness but especially the bike lift in the pit...

I'm glad you stopped by my thread because I missed your last post. The place is looking nice. Please expound on the "rune project". I only know of 2 runes, one is goofy letters and the other is a Honda motorcycle. I like both, so you have my curiosity peaked.

Hey Xtemek, It has been a very busy spring and I am so sorry to have missed your post. The Runic Alphabet and the Honda Valkyrie Rune.

The Rune project is ongoing to maintain the fastest production road bike ever built by Honda. I bought a 2004 Rune new in 2007 when Honda released 50 in the crate to dealers. O miles and the 3 year warranty + an optional 4 year extended warranty was a steal from what the OEM price was in 2004 (28k). I enjoy riding and get a kick out of the Rune. I have upgraded the turn signals to LED's and an aftermarket flasher to cancel the turn signal and add them as running lights.

The day I picked it up on '07... stock as a rock with 0 miles on the clock!

Nice bike. How does it ride? The closest I'll ever get to one is the 1/18th scale model I have.

Thank you! It runs like it's on rails... and smooth as glass with the trailing link front suspension. I love carving up a mountain pass with all the torque and power on demand. I have a set of all 3 colors in 1/18th scale too...

Where to begin after not being ambitious enough to post for a long time... I had a few medical issues last year and managed to spend lot of time and $$ having 5 trees removed from the back of our property. We had a horrendous wind last fall and trees were falling like Bill Clinton's pants around here so we decided to remove the threat on our property... including a Crooked Hillary tree by the shop....

To make it easier for the tree removal we had the old fence torn down and replaced it with pre-fab Cedar panels. It took the wife & I almost 4 days over 2 weeks to do with all the rain last fall... but the results are plus for us.

With all the space we created by removing the trees, the Wife decided we need to have a raised garden this year... so it seemed to be a good idea until the work actually started. Luckily I have a friend at work who builds the boxes so all I had to do was relocate sprinklers and haul a 1/4 yard of dirt / mulch for each bed. Now that she has them all planted we can finish the details and make it look functional with walkways, bird netting and trellis...

We got married last June and gave ourselves a wedding present by upgrading the family room to a 1080p HD Projectior & an electric 92" screen. We moved the big oak entertainment center upstairs with the 42" Sony for the living room. We also had a sofa down there so I built a platform from some motorcycle pallets and covered it with a piece of carpet for theater style seating...

I had a Birthday In May and since the old Weber Kettle was 30+ yrs young and needed to retire I guess... the wife decided I needed an upgrade anyway... A dual gas & charcoal BBQ with a Texas Smoker on the end... I did manage to smoke a nice Brisket to break it in.... And my sister sent me our Mom's BBQ sauce recipe' too!

I was really wanting to not have to make another car payment and was ready to retire without one, but my old buddy Bert (big expensive red truck) was starting to show signs of his age. I bought BERT, a 97 F-150 Lariat 3door 4x4 in 1999 @ 32k on the clock and have had very little trouble with him. And I owned it outright for a long time with No monthly payments and a low insurance payment... Now, after 18 yrs and 149k on the clock I have a New to Me 2015 F-150 4x4 @ 32k as luck would have it and a monthly payment. BERT is all cleaned up and on Craigslist with several people interested in him... We have been through a lot of weather together...
