New Member from Central CA

I stumbled across this forum several months ago and have really enjoyed looking over some projects and garage/shops. They give me tons of ideas and a good source of motivation.

I just recently got my welder fixed, it's a smaller unit Old SnapOn 120 volt MIG welder, but I'm looking forward to start some little projects and try and build some things.

I'm currently in the process of working on a 1966 Chevy C10, it's not only a hobby but a passion of mine...I've loved custom cars and trucks since I was a kid. It's going to be a very slow build, but I'm looking forward to learning new skills and trying my hand at different tasks.

Look forward to discovering more threads and meeting new people!

Wow, first 3 replies were from fellow CA members, thanks for the welcome everybody. So many things to see on here.

I've got a couple things that I would like to try building at first, just easy projects as I'm not that gifted at fabrication (although I wish I were).

My father in law had given me a table top, so I'd like to weld up legs to put together a work table. I still need to get the metal for this.

The second item I'd like to build is a one person cab/bed lift for my truck. I got some plans from a member on another forum (truck forum) and started working on this. I'll post pics as I progress more, I still need to get the square tubing for this also.

On to more exploring of this forum!!

Thanks for the welcome, you're still not very far from me...just right down 99. I've always liked Visalia, good size town and great location, just a little far from my work.

This forum has so many projects and ideas...it's addicting.
