Just found this site!

Here's my garage/shop.

http://www.rennlight.com/shop/

Highlights: 25x25, bathroom, scissor lift set into floor, air, lots of light, lots of electrical (110v & 220v), A/C, positive ventilation, stainless-covered workbenches, copper-plated welding bench, computer w/wireless newworking, fridge. Plan to add a vacuum later.

Cost me ~$20k - $25k, doing a lot of the work myself.

That's a nice looking shop. I like the flush mounted scissor lift idea. I've seen that done commercially, but not at home. Nice job!

The ring doesn't live in there full time, I just plug it in when I need it. I use it for when I have to have a very solid anchoring point. For example, I used it to pull a dent out of the rocker of a friend's VW bus

That's pretty damn cool. And nice car and shop/garage. It looks nice and it's functional. Beautiful.

Edit: I just noticed you're in Sac! I live in Elk Grove and work downtown Sac. Do you track your car in Thunderhill?

Welcome

Hey, it's great to have another Track Junkie join the ranks!
I noticed that your 964 has a soft top in place in the garage, and a hard top in the track photo.
Do you run it as an open car on occasion as well?

Nice shop

It's actually a 1977 911. I sold the soft top, installed a full cage, and fabbed a fiberglass hardtop, and then made a mold from it - I'll be selling copies shortly.
