The milcopy flexvolt i mean the Milwaukee rear handle saw. I might get that after i see a comparison to the dewalt but it sounds like the dewalt is faster.

I'm looking at getting a packout and curious if there's anything new about the boxes themselves or if there's just new addons like the milk crate....

I didn’t see anything new to the packout base set. More assessories with the crates, wall mounts, dolly, radio, etc. Some really cool things. Defiantly needed. I am looking forward to the dolly. Curious as to the price.

I dont understand the appeal of the 4-1 M12. Is it to have 1 tool instead of having to buy all 4? Also what is the 4th attachment, the weird looking one, the other 3 are RA, Chuck, Hex.

Offset attachment.

Pricing is going to be interesting, I can't see the whole 4-1 kit without batteries being less than $250, I'm thinking $279, with 2 compact batteries the whole kit is going to be $400 maybe.

Bosch 12v varient kit is $199 standard pricing with 2 batteries, and I've seen it as low as $150 before additional discounts at Lowe's. I was hoping to see the Milwaukee at $150-160 bare tool.

I was pretty interested in the 1" impact wrench until it was delayed from June 1st to Sept 20th. My 6,000 miles of driving my converted bus will happen before Sept 20th.

Maybe Makita will come out with something similar so I don't have to invest in yet another battery system.

I want the die grinders. While air works and is ok, it means either I drag the 30 gal compressor near the work or the work to the compressor

So what's a real-world application look like for an electrician? I'm asking....

Installing new construction down lights between rafters. To be more specific I'm thinking residential applications. Pretty sure they demo'd this application at the show

It’s a utility lineman’s tool. It fit on the end of a fiberglass stick that we us to open and close sitches, fuses, etc. it’s lighted, focusing the right at the attachment on the end of the stick

All the automotive youtubers I follow who went said that was the most requested tool at the show. :)

It is probably hard to get the cyclic rate high enough with a gear drive but I wonder if they could do it with hydraulics like a rock hammer on an excavator? The surge is already a proof of concept for a miniature hydraulic system in an electric tool.

All good except for the torque wrench which to me is a complete POS. Who spends $700 for a torque wrench without angle in this day and age.

I agree.

We are down to less and less reasons to turn on a compressor every day.

Air hammer, needle scaler, the tool that cuts window sealant, straight line sanders...

Fein has made electric windshield tools for decades now.

^^ that's a 1/8 shank, die grinders are 1/4 shank

I sometimes run a 1/4 to 1/8 reducer in my electric die grinder

M18 platform has had a straight model for a while now.

But isn't the M12 rotary tool basically a straight M12 model?

I read somewhere from the NPS19 reports that there was a straight version of the die grinder also, but there has been no pictures yet.

I was trying to figure out if it was going to be a replacement for the rotary tool or not. other than the mandrel size of course.

Is it just an electronic torque wrench that beeps or does it have a motor that automatically spins the fastener down to the specified torque? If so I could see it in a production environment. Otherwise I agree it's more expensive than a Techangle with less capability and makes absolutely no sense.

Well don't forget - Milwaukee always seems to hold on to a few things without announcing them. Those are the things that get them over the hump mid year - that gives people another reason to get excited.. one day you'll just find out - Milwaukee released a ------ out of the blue..

I mean - let's be honest here. You KNOW a 15.0 battery is coming at some point.

Betting it's also variable speed, since I think the M18 isnt.

Also betting that would be the bigger seller (according to their research) and why the right angle was released first..

They always seem to do that.. leave the tool that people would PROBABLY buy, over buying BOTH, as the second release.. so they entice you to wind up with both... Just long enough to get over the pain of the first purchase. Lol

Wish I had that new rain shell today.. that's on my list too now.

Like the Mid Torque 3/8... released the 1/2 first when most of us didn't want the 1/2 as we had the high torque, and now many of us have both or those that got the 1/2 converted it to 3/8.

Also the Gen2 7.25" saw released before the worm drive....

They are so smart its stupid.

Aside from the collet size it doesn't have the power of a 1/4" die grinder nor the speed of a 1/8" one. It's basically a cordless Dremel not a viable alternative to any kind of air die grinder.

Sad that perhaps the #1 tool (M12 RA Grinder) people are excited about, is something they should of made 5 years ago.
