Hi, I'm new here.

I just started collecting my tools as I work on cars. I've bought a $10,000 dollar Snap On Tool Cart with a Stainless Top and threw in about another roughly $10,000 dollars in Snap on and Mac Tools.

I started to outfit the tools in the drawers and found out that my Snap On Tool liners keeps on "slipping" when I open the drawers.

I'm in need of new drawers liners that are non slip. I don't want it to move even the slightest bit.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Dayum, thats a lot o' money. I use a drawer liner from Home Depot, it's black and has a fake leather feel to it. Tools/ liner wont slip, I guarantee it. There not cheap, about $6.00 for a 4'x18" roll. Made by Con-tact, #04F-C6U51-01, Grip Premium Liner

I use those rubber non-slip pads that look like a grid. They come in rolls and are made for putting on top of furniture to keep things from slipping off. They work like a charm. Just my personal preference, but I like them better than the solid drawer liners.

My Snap On Tool Cart is a KRL1003 with a Stainless Steel Top. It's almost 73'' long with 30'' width and 45'' tall. The drawers are extra large and deep. The liners needs to be in a huge size to fit if I need to cut it. I have Snap On Tool's Drawer liner meant for that KRL1003 but it doesn't stay well. I have the top widest loaded with sockets but it still tends to move around. It would slide 1-2 inch daily.

It's a annoying problem for me when I keep my Snap On Verdict D7 Wireless Diagnostic system ($8,000) in it and the thought of having the hand held computer move around isn't pleasing to know.

I roll my KRL1003 around daily.

I would opt to purchase another new set from Snap On Tools for their drawer liners, but it has let me down. Money isn't a issue. I don't mind spending money on it, as long as the product works. If it says it's non slip, it must be non slip.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will check out the Home Depot liner suggestion first since I can get that locally.

The Amazon suggestion is a good one. I'll keep that in mind. Looking for something locally obtainable first.

You should be able to find that at Walmart or a home store. The Amazon link was just to show you what it looked like. ;)

FWIW, I use the stuff in my box and used to have to roll it all over the shop. Things would vibrate out of their holders, but the holders never moved on this stuff.

I work for cintas the uniform people,they throw away mats that are stained or torn.Cut them up to size the best thing I have found for liners,These are rubber on back and carpet on top stays put and tools dont slide.

Something "wrong" with your SNAP-ON liners.

I have a KRL1022 and my OEM SNAP ON liners dont move at all.

Asking that other experienced owners chime in !!!!!!

I've had the best luck with kitchen drawer liners from ACO hardware. The black "mesh" type one work best and they rarely if ever slip around.... another plus is that they're cheap!

Ihave the lines like posted in the Amazon link. I don't like them because they slip. I will have to check out the home depot ones.

I haven't had much luck on Memorial Day to try and even go out to the stores. Anyhow, at the moment the Snap On Tools Draw liners which is meant for my KRL series Tool Cart isn't going to work. May be a defective batch or draw liners? In the meantime, I'm going to just use it this following week to protect my Stainless Steel Top. You can see it already in use on the Stainless Steel Top. Even while in used as a mat to protect the Stainless Steel Top, the slightest wind or movement will cause the liner to shift. I think it's defective...

Zerust liners, find them on amazon at the depth you need. Lowes carries it, but I think the maximum depth is 24".

In that 2nd photo I posted, even with all that weight on the Snap On Tool drawer liner, it still moves 1-2 inches. It's a one piece drawer liner that made for that drawer, I just can't believe that it moves 1-2 inches. Someone told me to spray adhesive on the backing of it, that's a big no no for me.

Everything is put on hold until I talk to the Snap On guy about this later this week. All the suggestions are great. Being new here, those are fast responses. I'm a busy young guy and won't have time to fiddle with it until this coming weekend. I really appreciate the responses!

I've used a few different things. My favorite is outdoor carpet scraps. the only downside is screwdrivers will roll around

Why don't you use double sided tape? It's not messy like spray adhesive & you can just put it on the outside edges of the drawer liners. It works for my mobil tool cart at my job.

Or Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Target, etc - same stuff. It grips the bottom of the drawer and doesn't bunch up as much. I use it in my machine base cabinet and in the tool boxes.

I use the stuff at HF. Not a single complaint, though i've come to like the solid non-mesh stuff much more.

I buy and use epdm roof liner. You can get like 300 square feet at Fleet Farm or Menards for like 100 bucks. Just cut it to size.

I kinda like one sided corregated cardboard rib side up. It absorbs oil and is easy to change out frequently for no $$. Once it gets dented up a bit it holds tools very well. I've used it rib side down too.

I've not tried it, but I think you could shadow your wrenches and pliers with a rubber mallet over on a hard bench.

Just a thought here, but why not grab a can of 3m spray adhesive? Pull the liner out, spray the adhesive to the bottom of the drawer and the liner. Replace. Let dry. Done. No more moving liners.

I've got a 1022 with snap on liners (same as the ebay seller mtryan sells btw) and I'm honestly confused. I don't have the drawers loaded up like you do, and nothing slides around. I don't move the box around, only the drawers. The material is tacky, so much so that when I laid them in place, they were difficult to shift around in the larger drawers...I had to peel them back up and take another stab at dropping them in place correctly. Are your drawers coated with any oil residue or something that might be causing this? Can you trying giving them a wipe down with rubbing alcohol (guess you'd have to somehow clean the mating surface of the mat as well) and then trying again?

Well I only have a set of KRA Snap On boxes, but the drawer liners have never moved. They're not sticky, tacky, or textured, but theyve never moved. My tools slide around a fair amount but the liner stays put.

I'm expecting my new KRL1023 by the end of the month, maybe it's the load that you're able to put in those massive drawers that allows them to slide, if I have any trouble I don't mind spraying a little contact adhesive, I'm not sure why you have such an aversion to it, it will only take a bit in the corners, and if you ever want to remove it a little bit of solvent takes it right off.
