I received my set from batch 1 two days ago. Just wanted to say that even though I haven't had a chance to post pictures of them, they are a work of art and beauty! Thanks again Matt.

I'll try to get some pictures of them posted up here. In the meantime I just wanted to vouch for these and say don't hesistate on the purchase.

Mate , that's awesome that you posted this straight away- street cred is important in this world. Having said that , I am totally not surprised - this young bloke sounds like an honorable and decent person - I think it would stress him out to provide us with anything less than what he considers an acceptable standard. and I'm sure we are all happy to give him our buisness here. (sorry Matt, I am not a psycholgist because I obviously can't even spell it , I don't even know you yet I am spouting on...gotta love the interwebby nets thingos apparently I am an expert 'cos I said so !!!)

Matt,
I would be good with a black set. Actually any color if you have a set left over. Just let me know when and where to send the money or PayPal. I can imagine that you are overloaded now, just want to get a place in line.
Thanks,
Terry

if some one on batch 2 or 3 jumps ship please put me in their place. IM ALL IN! Black please. if not Ill wait for batch 4 lol

That is so NOT kool! You want to be bumped in line when others are clearly before you. Hopefully Matt does not pull the plug on this program. He's doing a lot for actually very little financially.

Thanks Matt for taking on a project like the GJ plier rack program.

Haha well in a sociology major so I thank you for that! I am a decent guy which is why I'm going to try my best to keep up with the demand. I'm hoping that when everyone starts receiving their rack they post up pics so that everyone waiting knows that they are worth the wait!

Lol ya I just didn't respond to that. . The best way to get in line and on a list is to just reply publicly on the thread and when I start compiling the 4th 5th 6th lists I will get everyone in the correct order!

There will be no plug pulling around here brotha :)

Here's what we got guys...

They each measure 12 inches long 5.5 inches deep and 2.625 tall.

1st piece (on left in pictures) has 6 spaces with 7/8ths id. And 7 spaces with 3/4 id.

2nd unit on the right side of pics has 15 spaces with .625 spacing

Making a total of 28 spaces

Matt,

Since you have adjusted the size slightly to accommodate the HF 44" box, will there still be a total of 28 spaces?

Ya I believe so. Don't count the spaces on the picture I posted of it in my box. It's smaller than all the production ones!

Glad you clarified. I saw the pic in your box, and was curious if that is what you were shipping out. Can't wait for 2nd batch!

Ya
I originally made mine 20 inches to fit in my other box then cut it down to fit the HF 44. The HF44 is awesome though!

my matco dealer had racks like this on his truck 5 years or so ago. I bought it but then sold later on. I just hope you aren't stepping on somebodys patent selling these, (not that I think there could be a patent on these)

If there was, the GJ bad boys will gang up and take care of said patent holder:D

My rack arrived. Installed the pair of racks along the back of the bottom drawer on my HF 5 drawer cart. Filled it up. Love the quality and is very robust for even the larger pliers.

Thank you Matt!!!

You might be the only person I've ever seen who keeps the little boots on thier robo grips all the time.

Lots of pics of these starting to trickle in.. can it be time for order number 4 yet!?!?

Those rubber safety boots help keep the robo grips from reproducing. Nobody wants a bunch of robo grips around.

The only time i use robogrips is when i need something with rubber tips on it. It's my goto don't scratch something pliers.

If you look to the left... i have a bin of spare rubber tips.

You guys don't like Craftsman's Robogrips?

In my experience they don't hold up to hard use AT ALL.

If they're used as non-marring pliers, i.e. you're not squeezing the hell out of stuff with them, they're probably fine.

I use them primarily to hold something while grinding/buffing... something i'm close to finishing so i don't want tool marks. -or- if im holding something with threads and can't get a grip on a non threaded area.

They have held up great for this purpose.

They are pretty useless when you need to plier something.
