Well that looks like it will strip first time you look at it sideways.
Doesn't really matter what you think of if they don't have the thing you want, does it?When I think of screws I think of GRK.
Thanks for that info. I think I'm returning them.I’d return them.
They (FastenMaster) are phasing out Spiderdrive
They do look fragile. I had planned to drill pilot holes so there wouldn't be much torque applied.SpiderDrive is proprietary to FastenMaster. The bits you pictured don’t hold up well to impact use.
Wasn't really pleased to find that was the only screw on the shelves that looked like it would work the way I want them to.I ran several dozen 12” screws in with an impact using those bits. Worked fine, none of them cammed out.
Can’t say I like finding Yet Another GD Screw Head Design.
Buy a bunch of extra bits for the future.I’d return them.
They (FastenMaster) are phasing out Spiderdrive since about April of this year, and replacing it with Torx ttap. And Torx ttap can be driven with regular Torx bits. Wouldn‘t recommend going with Spiderdrive for a single application, that’s going to be a pain every time in future and basically already obsolete now anyway. Would be different for someone already using them, but starting with those now, no way.
