Just found the website, this is great. Just built a 30x45 shop bricked and insulated, have been trying to finish the electrical so I can move all the equiptment in. It is full now wil boat, trailer and old bronco I didnt want to leave out with all the bad weather we've had. Need to finish lining the walls with metal. I am going to put a lathe, mill and brake lathe under the mezzanine. The welding area will be over by the stairs and planning on putting a bendpak two post lift at the other end. Sould have more pictures shortly.

Nice building bullet. I am just across the river from you in SW OKC around SW 149th and western. I would kill to have some room with a big shop like yours. How much land are you on and how far from town are you? Do you like the area? We have been looking south of the river as well as mustang.

Moved down here seven years ago on one acre. Thats all I want to take care of, I work all the time so do not have a lot of time right now to devote to the shop. I am between Tri CIty and Tuttle. Perfect place not far from OKC or Mustang, would not move anywhere else.

Wow, I really like that building! What is the wall height and the inside height at the peak? Does a steel-frame building like that cost more that a wood frame pole barn? Do you know if that builder ever works in the Tulsa area? If so I'd like contact info. Thanks!

Wall height is 11', center is 16'. Building has a 4:12 pitch so I could put a lift in it and have the mezzanine. Didn't want trusses so went with I beam. It has a three foot overhang off the front and one foot eves on the other three sides with a finished soffit and guttering on front and back. Doors are 8' tall. Richard would probably build in Tulsa, he has a place at Eufaula and has built several metal homes and shops there.

Finally got to work in the shop this weekend. Put up sheet metal around the mezzanine and finished the metal walls in the machine shop area (under mezzanine). Next is painting the floor under mezzanine and start building work benches. 90% of the electrical is finished wired 220 under mezzanine for mill/drill, lathe, brake lathe and the air compressor under the stairs. Ready to get it set up and start on a couple of projects. Just not enough time right not that I can devote to the shop.

Picked up six double door storage cabinets and three single door cabinets on craigslist. The single door cabinets have drawers with roller guides. Had to make two trips to pick it all up.

Also picked up an old Army tanker desk that i have turned upside down in the picture of the machine shop. I'm going to weld longer legs on the desk to raise up and use as a work bench in the machine shop. Will be nice to have the heavy duty drawers. Need to work on the brake lathe, a few missing parts.

Started building a welding table. Legs are 3x3x1/4 square tubing with 3x3x1/4 angle braces. Need to put braces low and finish welding it all up. Plan on putting a 1/2" top and a shelf under. So much to do and so little time. Wish I had a son to help.

Looks great Bob!
I wish I had time to come out to lend a hand.
You've got me searching CL for tanker desks and metal cabinets now...
But looks like you've cleaned the best ones out of the metro area!

I actually just bought another desk if you are interested in it. For the price I couldn't turn it down.
