I have been looking at the all the threads on floor coatings. As mush as I would like to do epoxy, I believe I will doing just a sealer. I have done epoxy on small projects but doing a whole 30x50 shop by myself I feel I could not make it look the way I want much less be able to afford it. Looks like I might be using a Ghost Shield sealer. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

I used Ghostshield 8505, been impressed with the performance. If you going to have a working garage you can’t go wrong with it. The vendors here offer good deals and even better support. The only thing I did different was acid staining the floor with 4 colors randomly sprayed. I expect stains but the stain breaks the patterns up.

If your working garage involves the possibility of any petroleum products spilling or dripping on the floor, I suggest a coating rather than a sealer as they will not prevent stains. In my case, I used GS 8505 and it was stained by transmission fluid. All attempts to remove the stain with products designed to do so have failed. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=431901

What did you wind up choosing? I'm in the same process of deciding on sealer vs a coating for a new concrete floor.
