When you become an automotive technician, working 10 hours a day to try to make your hours, then and only then will your opinion matter, and it won't matter that much.
Nice, well put.

No shipping costs, truck financing and up until last week, better pricing.
Snap on has free shipping on orders up to $500.. Over $500 make multiple orders. I can't recall but I don't think there is any tax either.

Working 10 hour days in a trade is the norm, you have no leverage with that comment. Auto techs complaining about their wage, its a broken record. Same ****, every time.
What makes your opinion matter, because your an auto tech? MANY other trades use these tools each day. Being that they dont work for a stealership, means they have no opinion?
I agree, dont get so bent out of shape because a tool company has you by the nuts. Buy something else, there are plenty other quality tools out there. Now your thinking, "but I use them everyday"...guess what so do MANY other trades and they dont all use Snap On, they seem to get by without the Snap On grip of death.
Take this as a discussion, I am not trying to argue with you.
Actually, no, you can't. I'm going through this now, I'm trying to change jobs but also buy a tool box from my current SO guy, he said as long as we sign the papers by the day I leave I'm golden, but if I start at my new job, he's not allowed to sell to me anymore.

Wake up, hes pressuring you into buying that box now.So many seem to forget that their tool truck buddies are salesman and frequently apply sales tactics.
I drive across town to visit the dealers I want when I need tools. The current guys have pissed me off for the last time. They have never had a problem selling to me. That said, I dont need many tools off the truck anymore and only buy with cash.

Unless he's your only tool guy, I'd pay your debt off (and yeah, I know how hard that is, most of the time I'm happy to see my Cornwell balance not be 4 digits) and take your business elsewhere. Snap-On guys that don't know how to deal with techs have a really high turnover rate. I know many people who have a lot of SO stuff that never got paid off because it was on a truck account and the guy went out of business and disappeared.
Pop pop, you have made rather clear you have little to no understanding of the industry or the topic of this discussion, jog on.
