I bought a new tool box on Tuesday, and just now got pictures of it. It is a KRL7023 bought brand new from the "scratch and dent closeout" truck. I traded my box ($2900) and $2900 for the box. It has one scratch about an inch long on it and one of the handles has a very small ding in it. So far I am very impressed, and have about 5 empty drawers. More tools!

It's very.... GREEN.

Seriously, I like it! I got so burned out on toolboxes having to be red, and black just doesn't do it for me. I really like the new crop of colors that are out there now.

Congrats!

Sadly I got rid of the lights. The velcro kept falling off, and I ran one over and broke it. At my current job I am moving my box around, so it would be a pain to constantly plug and unplug it. Thank you for the comments. :)

Wow, that thing is huge, you might think about adding a mattress on top top to take naps. A few thousand off for a few defects you'd make yourself in a matter of time is a sweet deal.

Congrats! Nice looking box.
I've got some new Snap On green handled screwdrivers to match it. Let me know if you're interrested.

Some guys would give their left nut for the extra 5". My opinion is that if you ever grow out of it, you can but the top chest with all the money you saved. Congrats, great buy. You will love the box. It is a very worthwhile investment.

1. Is that a chip in the paint, or a dent?

2. Is it on a drawer handle?

It is a small dent in the chrome strip of the handle. Not noticeable unless you are looking for it.

I worked as a auto tech for 15 years with 1 craftsman box. No problems.

Hats off to you then, I suppose we don't see eye to eye on things. I respect your right to have an opinion, and I won't be kicking anyone's *** any time soon. Lover not a fighter. :)

good for you.......but why piss on someone else's decision to buy what he want's? the man made his choice and bought what he wanted not what you wanted. you should really lean some manners and respect.......

I like it but then again, I'm drawn to green toolboxes for some strange reason....

Congrats on the new box, if you like it half as much as I like mine, it will be a good investment.

If I ever pay that much for a toolbox feel free to come to Va. and kick my ***.

Yeah, especially when you can get a Harbor Freight box for $400. Come on, this is a sweet box at a great price ( I think they are like 10 grand w/o a scratch, you can scratch any of my boxes for $4,200), and I believe a lifetime warranty. Keep in mind without these guys that use these boxes for their profession there would be no quality secondhand boxes to buy.

Finally something we can agree on.

Might be time for you extreme green toolbox owners to form your own social club?! :pimpflash :lol_hitti

We might have too, green toolboxes are about the ONLY thing Snap-on Merk dislikes and everyone else pukes when they see one.....

At least it's easy to identify... in the dark...without lights...wearing sunglasses...blindfolded...and on the other side of a locked door...across town...

For the deal we both got on them however, trust me, you can learn to LOVE green...

My snap-on man has an extreme green KRL1023 sitting on his truck that is very tempting. I keep trying to tell myself that I don't need to spend that much on a box yet but it is tempting none the less.

I almost jumped the gun a week earlier on a blue one for a bit more money, and I'm glad I held off. I'm not the tallest guy in the world, so the 7023 may be better if (when) I end up getting a top box some day.

Sorry guys, but I feel there tool boxes are WAY overpriced, the price he paid should have been the NEW price, 10 grand for a box is insane unless it does the work for me.

Don't let any others tell you they worked out of a little box for years and did any more then an oil change or borrowed tools from the guys who bought the big box's to do the rest :spit: I see them every day 30 years with a hand box my ***.

When do we get to see the inside all done up??

I would prefer to buy a box with a scratch. That way I would not feel like **** the first time I find one that I put on it!

I'm with you. New and shiny doesn't mean much to me, because it's only a matter of time...

WVUtuba - nice box, and seems like a good deal. I like that drawer setup.
