I just see $699 (on the green and the black one I ordered). Maybe stacking the current 10% coupon and the extra 10% first-purchase with the HF credit card? If you can stack, the "Insiders Club" or whatever has 15% off - stacking the 10% would get you to just under $535, which ain't bad (I'm not doing Insiders or the card though)

I really wish that they would have integrated a power bank into the box, I know there is a way to add their usg magnetic power strip using the hole in the back, but would be nice if they had just added the power bank as part of the box

To those who dislike the drawer release system: you can actually pop out (and optionally pop back in) the plastic lock. The drawers then just open with detents. I assume this is some kind of extra margin for wheeling around a shop floor or something, and not spilling your tools. It’s kind of better. The main issue is that the design of the flexural element at the end that actually does the locking is just bad. Look carefully at it and how it bends, then look carefully at the metal. It’s dumb and fixable.

I finally saw one in my local store. The locking mechanism seems like a poor copy of snap on's drawer lock. I believe it'll work fine. As for price, I think it's fair. I've owned many different carts from SnapOn, Mac, Matco etc. I think this one for the price is good. Remember this is competing against the Matco Jamestown and Snap On KRSC carts, which are around $2k. You could find a krsc32 for around $1000 used, but thats always a waiting game and hoping you find the color you want.

I really like my U.S. General tool storage and I do kinda snicker (and feel bad) when I see someone with a Snap-on cabinet. But I have to admit the price on these things have gone up so much, they are not as cool as they once were IMHO.
I don’t have the newest version of the cart, but I will say that the build quality on my tool chest is much superior than the build quality on my mechanics cart. Which is a bit of a head scratcher as you’d think being the same brand they’d be equal.

I'm an idiot, and I've repeatedly underestimated my storage needs as my set has grown significantly over the last 3-4 years. Each of those has been a step up from the other. The 5-drawer is really very nice, and I'd recommend it easily for home-garage rats like me who don't suffer from my limited spaces for tool storage, but the Full Bank is outstanding. It's a significant upgrade from the 5-drawer in pretty much every way. In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller, I highly recommend picking one up.

Price point, as you get into the higher prices more of the money can go towards better quality. The basic service cart is rather flimsy compared to the 4 and 5 drawer carts, but it is almost half the price of the 4 drawer. I bought one of the 3 shelf carts based on being happy with the US General 5 drawer cart and I almost regret doing so because it is really light weight, but it was cheap so... It does at least provide some good bones to improve on.
The 6 drawer is growing on me after looking at them in person and seeing the prices come down some with sales. Thankfully I don't have much need for another chest or cart at the moment.
Honestly, I liked it better once I got my tools in it. I needed the space and wanted to keep a flip-top cart (vs. the 44" USG cabinet) and felt like the sale prices were going to be the lowest I'd get, so I went ahead despite some small misgivings. All of those are gone now.

The series 3 6 drawer hasn't been released yet to my knowledge. The one on the website is the same as they have always been.
The 6 drawer cart was the pilot for the drawer latches on the series 3 boxes, and they never matched the trim of the series 2 boxes. They also never had any badging indicating series. Any reason to expect a new one is due?

The Full Bank was the first product with Series 3 design elements. The only change I'm aware of is more colors.
For anyone who has one of these -- are you also running Ernst socket boss 18's? I'm wondering if they'll fit in (front to back) in any of the draws. I've measured 19.5 inch of space in one of my draws and the boss 18" is spec'd at 19.63" total length. Guess I could just trim some off the end if I needed.
I've trimmed the little tabs off all my rails to fit in the 44" box.
I have the Tekton branded version of the Ernst socket boss and just checked. They are slightly too long to fit front to back in the the drawers without trimming.
I ended up replacing the trays with the Ernst Socket Organizer Mounting Kit (Regular or Magnetic). Bonus is that it packs the rails a little tighter so there's less wasted space, especially if you have multiple trays.

I have a 26" x 22" cabinet that holds most of the home tools and the lesser-used car tools. I kinda like the flip lid - open-and-work kinda thing since most of what I pick up most often is right there and there's no opening-and-closing. And width is a factor. I could probably make the 44" work there - the very small reduction in depth would actually be helpful, but the width would be tough. The more I look at it the more I think that despite the lesser volume measurement, the 44" actually has more space to put stuff.
My cart sits essentially next to my workbench (this is what it looks like when it is most-tidy, which it isn't right now...)
