Anyone tried the new Wiha #38032 hex bit drivers yet? I was wondering what the handle finish is like - hard, soft, slippery? I was going to order one but it looks like the Wiha distribution center is a little backed up right now.

That's a nice looking tool; probably the best bit storage setup I've seen in this type of tool.

Bought this driver a few weeks ago for my fater in the (forlorn?) hope that he will start using the correct bits for various screws.

Really love it so far, it stores 12 bits, has a nice grip to it and the endcap rotates so you can easily put extra pressure with the palm of your hand while turning. The handle is the usual wiha softfinish: not soft at all, you can't squeeze it, cleans up easy and is really comfortable.

Two things though, it's BIG and the stop that should prevent it from rolling down the table doesn't work!

How BIG is BIG? If it wouldn't be too difficult, how about a dimension?

:) It's not that bad, honestly. I'll try and get another picture and some dimensions this afternoon.
When I was in the shop, I was in doubt which one to get: this one or the slimmer handled 8 bits holder:
http://www.wiha.com/en/produkte/bits/magazine-bit-holder-magnetic-1-4.html
My hands aren't the biggest and I thought the handle would be too bulky (they were wrapped up in packaging, so no way of testing them), but turns out that it's just fine, I don't regret getting this one.

It really opens up like in the video Monte posted, sort of slowed down, dampened action at the end of travel. Nifty :pimpflash

Yeah, I figured.
Here you can view their full (european?) range: http://www.wiha.com/en/home
To be honest, the european website looks way more professional then the USA version.
At $27, the price looks good, think I paid about €20.
