Diddle, I’ve never seen Newage in all black before. SO much better than the two tone version.

Is this option widely available, or just via certain sellers?

The all black Pro series cabinets were sold through Home Depot exclusively. They are no longer available. Check the NewAge site, there may be some there.

NewAge is discontinuing the Performance and Performance Plus lines. They are letting them dwindle away on their site. Same with the all black.

Been sitting on these over a year, finally got them up yesterday, everything was packed nice and looked great!

I’ve got two uppers that the shocks seem defective so I’ve sent newage a email to see if they will take care of it. The salt wall I don’t think was out when I ordered so I using wall control in between bench and upper cabinets.

Only wish is that the lowers were same depth as lockers for being able to mount to wall, as it was I had to string 2x6’s and blocks so that everything would be even.

They look good. I did explain to you about the one year warranty on defective items?

The worktops are 2 inches deeper than the 16" deep base cabinets, so you can have a lip in front to clamp things down. The locker cabinets are 18" deep for the 24 gauge Performance 2.0, same as the worktops. Makes for a nice shadow line across the cabinets. The 18 gauge Pro and Performance Plus cabinets are 22" deep with 24" deep worktops and lockers. Some people have mounted the cabinets 2" away from the wall, to allow existing outlets to be used. But really, you can mount them anyway you want.

The blue is pretty cool looking. NewAge is trying to lower it's overall cost to help offset the tariffs on steel. They are eliminating the Performance Plus and the Performance 2.0 styles. They may still be available in England and France. But of coarse United States prices are going up this fall.:pimpflash

Thanks for your support of small business.

Yes, but I will still need some regardless of warranty. See what they say when they get back to me.
Thanks again.

Here's some examples of hanging cabinets directly from the wall without feet.

attachment.php

"Went through this recently. Decided to wall mount above the block foundation.
Makes for a nice clean install with no need to worry about how to fill the gap.
Top block is 61/2" from floor. Puts the top cabinets a bit high up to reach things that might be in the back of the top shelf. I'm close to 6' tall and can manage fine with that. I suppose if your shorter you might need to keep a step stool handy."

Stole this from the "Installing wall lockers and cabinets" thread. Thanks road_king.

But wait there's more!:beer::beer:

attachment.php

"I'd second this method of installation. Set mine up on the "curb" around the outside of the garage about 6" above the floor. It makes sweeping under them much easier and I have a nice place to store snowmobile lift, dollies, etc. The bench is not real clean in this picture, but I have been very happy with the NewAge cabinets!" says Mr dglennon

I'm pretty sure both of these guys got their cabinets from me, well maybe.:pimpflash

I've got the 3.0 Pro set and I installed them last year and now I'm finally getting around to putting everything in them. It seems like on my drawer bottoms the right hand side slide doesn't catch at full extension and for some of them the drawer actually drops out of the slide. It does this with out without weight in the drawer. Any ideas? When I look down the side I see a gap on that side as well, it almost seems like the frame is like 1/16" or so too wide for the drawers. Figured I'd see if anyone else has seen this before I give them a call next week.

Obviously double check the drawer install into the slides. I had an issue with a couple of mine since I removed drawers to bolt the cabinets together and did not put them back in right. Once I did, no issue.

I'm considering the 10-piece Pro Series set on costco.ca, but because I may end up not using two of the wall cabinets (and one of the 56" worktops), I'm wondering if I'll still be able to use the LED lighting. It doesn't give much info on them. Is it one LED light that covers the full length of the 4 wall cabinets that come in the set?

Led Lighting for NewAge Cabinets
The under cabinet lighting starter fixture has a voltage adapter (model 60806) that plugs into your 110v wall outlet then you can add on up to 3 more lights (model 60807) to illuminate your space. The lighting fixtures can be installed in glass cabinets or underneath the wall cabinets for the garage storage systems. The light fixtures come with the hardware to attach to the cabinets. The maximum of three LED light fixtures can be linked to the starter fixture with the LED power adapter giving you 4 under cabinet lights.

Highlights

12v 2700k LED light
15" long connector cable
FITS ALL STYLES
Dimensions

12.5"W x 1"D x 0.5"H

Thanks, so there would likely be four separate lights with the kit in my last post?

You'll get one "starter fixture" model 60806. Plug it into the wall, it will light up the space under one wall cabinet. Plug as many as three of the "add on lights", model 60807, in a line and light up the space under 4 wall cabinets.

And bob's your uncle.

Thanks again. It doesn't actually say how many lights are included, but it would make sense that there would be one for each wall cabinet.

I'm all for supporting local and/or small business, but I'm in Canada and Shop Storage Cabinets seems to be US based (and priced). The link I used is Costco.ca. The same set is $2199 on Costco's US website.

One question about the bold 3.0 cabinets... how well ‘sealed’ are the doors when closed? Meaning does the door and frame close tight to prevents for example spiders and bugs from making their way in? We’re thinking about using one of these cabinets in the garage to store large seldom used cooking stuff (crock pot, roasting pan, etc).

The cabinet doors have magnetic catches and keyed locks. These cabinets are welded and come fully assembled. The 48" wide bold locker is packaged as knock down flat packed and assembles quickly and easily.

I've never had anyone complain about spiders, except my son he's deathly afraid of spiders.:beer:

Have a look at my build thread, I bought a set of NewAge cabinets when I renovated my garage and absolutely love them... I can honestly say I haven't had a single issue or defect with them since I purchased and they're completely loaded right now. Mind you this set is "outdated" now and they have a ton of new stuff, these cabinets will easily outlast me haha.

Tonka Garage build thread:CLICK HERE

There is a vendor on here " dittle fart around" who sells them, definitely worth speaking to he knows his stuff! Search NewAge cabinets and you'll likely find his thread.

These are a previous version of the Bold line of NewAge cabinets. Note the taller wall cabinets and three drawer base cabinets are no longer available. I'm loving the yellow pegboard.

Here it is August already. The NewAge price increase is starting September 15th. The price increase is a direct result of tariffs on steel from China.

So why not save some money while you can. Send in a quote and get the best prices of the year.

Question for you: Are the Bold Series sturdy enough to mount to the wall and not use shelves? I want to put long-handled garden tools in them. Didn't know if the shelves are structural or not?

To achieve optimal capacity your cabinet should be lag bolted into the studs in your wall and all the cabinets should be bolted together. If you bolt your cabinets to the wall without using the leveling feet capacity should drop.

Shelves are not considered to be structural. The weight capacity of the bold locker is 800 pounds. Do you have 800 pounds of rakes and shovels?

Whew! I'm at 775 lbs.! Figure I'll put a piece of plywood in the bottom, too. I just hate, hate, hate, having garden tools on the wall & no sheds allowed in my neighborhood. My last garage that I designed, I had a separate room just for garden tools, but not enough room in this one to section it off. I figure if I use two of the extra wides, I might have 30 lbs. in each max. May even try to use some gear track in there and hang everything. Thanks for the explanation.

Hi!

What style of NewAge cabinets match these the closest? I’d like to add a few more. I believe these were a NewAge set sold at Costco. Thanks

That's an older version of the Bold series cabinets. The base cabinets are 24" wide and have a 18" deep worktop. The Bold cabinets offered now match the dimensions but only come in Red or Gray doors with black cabinets.

The older wall cabinets are taller than the new ones. The 3 drawer tool cabinet has been replaced with a rolling tool cabinet that fits in the space of a base cabinet.

Better over packed than dented.:beer::beer::beer:

I've seen the video on putting the 48" locker together. Looks easier than most Ikea flat packs. Can you do it yourself or do you need another hand with the pieces?

Except my doors were severely bent :( NewAge customer service has been great though. They already approved a replacement set being sent. Check out my post in my garage build thread (link in my signature) for more photos/details.

I did the assembly myself. Even mounted it to the wall alone. No issues there!

Did they replace them irregardless of what vendor you bought them from?

Yes. The boxes, instruction manual, and cabinet parts themselves are all plastered with the NewAge phone number and a message saying to reach out to them directly with any issues or damages.
