Hey y'all! I've read a lot of good information on here and looking forward to continuing to learn. I've got my slab poured (long story there) for a tube metal building that should go up in a few weeks. It's a 30x50x12 with a 10x50 lean-to. I opted for the double bubble insulation. Hoping to put in at least a 10k lift.

Welcome aboard. Since you didn't ask a question to get any of the great GJ advice, I will refrain from admonishing you for not providing a picture or two of your little shed. Lol.😶

I see you're a member since Dec.2023. So, newbie?

@The Bean this is my progress so far! The metal building has been ordered and should be here in a few weeks.
I leveled, formed, poured and floated the concrete lean-to section myself as the guy I paid to do this took my money after he finished the main 30x50 section. The 30x50 section was done with fiber at 4000 psi.

Awesome. I am in Iredell county north of charlotte. In the planning stages of a 30x50. Who are you using for the building?

@svtrichie I went with Triple A, one of the MANY metal building distributors out of the Mount Airy area. They've been really easy to work with. Not the cheapest, but cheaper than about 10 others I researched. Some dealers have the websites where you can build out the garage how you want it and some you have to tell them how you want it. I preferred the ones where you could build it yourself on their site, it saved a bunch of time.

Welcome from Wilson County, NC!

I have a 40'x40' version of your building. Check out the build thread link in my signature line and let me know if you have any questions.

@aka Larry Awesome! What kind of fastener/hardware did you use to mount your wooden lean-to to the side of the garage? I was thinking about something like this to store the air compressor under.

I used carriage bolts, nuts, and flat washers through the steel posts to hold the ledger board to the exterior siding. You can kind of see them in this picture.

Nice! What part of NC? Have you find a builder yet?
Salisbury, about an hour north of Charlotte. We are looking at Triad Carports out of Lexington, they recently completed a building for my father, there were a few minor issues but they are rectifying them.

Wow, I just looked up Triad, it looks like the do concrete work too. That's nice. My concrete guy left me high and dry, after I paid him!
