Hello everyone Glad to be here.
I discovered this forum recently and love the vise stories. I have a 6in. China vise that i bought new over 20 years ago and still going strong. Reading posts here has inspired me to look for an older American vise to restore. I have ran an ad in our local penny shopper paper and on CL to try and find an old vise.
Nothing has really turned up close by but did get an offer on this one for 25.00. Its actually too far too with gas prices and smaller than what i want. Missing jaw is a definite turn off to me. What is it? And whats this old green vise i saw on a distant CL ad for 100.00. The green vise kinda looks Wilton.
As far as Craigslist goes there are hardly and vises in a 100 mile radius and when you do find one it has a crazy "collectible" price like the one in this ad.
