If the concrete curbs are the same thickness as your walls then it will make it easier to put tool boxes etc flush with the wall. My garage has a beam running around the perimiter that is thicker than the wall and intrudes a few inches on the interior. It's only a couple inches high but its a hassle for locating stuff against the wall.
The man door near the garage door opens right into a car parked in that bay. If there will be a lift in the bay you will have to squeeze past it and the car to get to the back half of the garage.
I recommend laying it out in sketchup or similar or even to scale on paper and putting cars in there.
