Notice in my post in the Thorsen thread, I used an Executive Pocket Pal for the length. I got a protractor instead of a caliperCoincidence: I was handling an Executive Pocket Chum (not that one) at a second-had store this Saturday! They wanted $25 for it, and no case![]()
Yeah, not sure if the one I was looking at was the Chum or the Pal--OP's is a Chum.Notice in my post in the Thorsen thread, I used an Executive Pocket Pal for the length. I got a protractor instead of a caliper
I happen to have an extra ( I think) , depending on OP location I might be able to get it to himThe form block that goes with it is missing
Yea that's the old school way, you have to start by using the thickness of the head of the insert to set the tubing height above the holder bar or it won't come out right.I had no idea you could use inserts for double-flares! I've only seen dedicated tools.
I'm kind of an old-school guy. I'll have to look into some of those inserts. Do they make them for the other styles? Bubble, etc?Yea that's the old school way, you have to start by using the thickness of the head of the insert to set the tubing height above the holder bar or it won't come out right.
Double flare is all I've ever had them in, most of the older kits for automotive came with them.I'm kind of an old-school guy. I'll have to look into some of those inserts. Do they make them for the other styles? Bubble, etc?
