Thanks Outlaw!! I added an air hose reel I picked up from a garage sale a few years ago. It's just been getting moved from one place to another for so long, I finally found a home for it! I also shot some paint on it while I was working on another project. The electrical boxes are welded on to the frame too.

And I took apart the mag drill to see if I could fix it, it hasn't worked since the flood. Got to see what was wrong, it still has a lot of water in it.... the gears were rusted together even with the grease there but I freed them up. Hoping it will work when it dries out.

Youve been busy lately, curious on these vfds i dont know much about them, this is how i understand them am i correct?
you feed them single phase, and they convert it to 3 ph, to speed up or slow down the motor to your settings right? but you need to put on a 3 phase motor to make it all work.

so if i was to find a 3phase drill press i could just add a VFD and run it on Single Phase?

You nailed it Motofool, there is a huge VFD thread in tools that helped me out. The posters are extremely knowledgeable. I'm just a hack trying to get in. [emoji3]

Thanks guys! I'm not in to sports much but it seems some people are, these are for one buddy(Merc) but I had another buddy eyeballing them already just because the colors.

May have to do Merc's other one in Bama colors and let the chairs battle it out.

Motoguy and myself were giving you a little grief over the LSU colors. He threw out Bama and I threw out the in state rival as LSU fans are notoriously rabid about wearing them! Lol

It was great work!

Nice job personalizing the welding cart for your needs. laser3kw has a point, it would look good with some pin striping.

I swear guys, I was looking at it the other day thinking the same thing, only thing that stopped me was I am not finished welding on things. I may add an upper deck for a tool box, idk yet. The plasma cutter is working so I will cut some bottle contours out of something and finish that up.

Here is a quickie project that finally fell into place. I got this old Craftsman Heritage box at a garage sale a few years ago. It was pretty picked over but still had a bunch of craftsman 3/4" sockets and aircraft specific tooling in the bottom. The drawers were rusted through and it was a tetanus shot waiting to happen. I think I bought the contents for $20-25 and they gave me the box free to carry the contents out with. I wanted to do something cool with it and the other day I saw a newer Craftsman box converted to a Bluetooth radio and so it began. I used a scrap piece of oak plywood from the remodel and lightly stained it. The speakers were from my car audio days and have been stored for a decade or more and finally get to use them. There will be a 6" subwoofer in its own enclosure in the box with a cutout up top for the bass to escape. I'm waiting on electronics to finish but here is what it will look like.

Love it. The even coating of rust just gives it a great looking finish. Great way to give the old box some new dignity.

Oh, PS thought, pinstripe the box too!!!

This may be **** so remove the parenthesis to view at your own discretion.[emoji3]

I finished Merc's other chair with his initials and he thought that was too narcissistic so I sent him version 2.0 for his approval.

Spent a few hours tonite installing the DRO on the mill. I got the X and Y axis done and working. I'll probably wait on the Z axis until I get a knee lift handle or make an adapter.

Thanks Strouty! I got the shields installed last night before I crashed. Today I'm installing the Z axis on the knee.

Send me a ticket and I'll be right there man. I hear the snow is subsiding up that way now.[emoji3]

Z Axis DONE! DRO install complete. The worst part of this whole thing was scrounging around in my junk drawers looking for hardware long enough/right size to fit the custom brackets.
