They are 9'x9' Just barely tall enough to pull in an enclosed trailer. No one seemed too worried about the door design: The jackshaft torsion spring is tuned to hold them in the open position. I guess in a very steep roof pitch situation they'd be doing even more work all the time but I don't see why this would be a problem...Kapt said:What size are your garage doors? Mine haven't arrived yet, but they too will follow the pitch of the roof. I've never used doors with this type of spring/track design, but are there any considerations once the doors are open with them staying up?
You bet. We bought them from Jammer Doors http://www.jammerdoors.com/innovations.htm They were actually built by Raynor.Sack said:Mind if I ask what company in NJ did your doors? I'm having a tough time finding someone near Morristown. They seems to either be commercial only or low budget residential. I'm hoping to get the doors done before the end of Jan.

Looking gooood!
Nice vice! I almost bought a new one after looking forever for a nice used one. What size is it?
You're definitely making use of those tops....![]()
Those garage doors are really distinctive. I like lots of windows and find them very appealing. Now that time has passed are you still happy with the garage doors? Has the single pane glass been a big issue?

Well we are down to short strokes now on the actual construction portion of the project. Plumbers installed the bathroom fixtures today. The idea here was to have water without heating the whole garage. So the solution is a small insulated pair of rooms in the corner, each with it's own electric heater. Insulated metal doors with tight seals should help keep it warm inside. Moen freeze-proof hose bib sticks through the exterior wall of the room. 4 gallon instant water heater provides small amt of hot water. Second room houses sewage-ejector pump needed because we are a long way from the city sewar and lower than the house's main soil line.
Making more progress: painted, trimmed, lights re-hung. Furnace and oil tank installed.
I ordered the cabinets last week finally, should be here in 5=6 weeks.
