Hi,

I keep discovering new models of Dual 80 Snap On through eBay or Youtube that I can't find directly by browsing ratchets on Snap On website, I've got to manually write the part number and then it comes on, usually under the non-catalog item category. I'm now wondering how many models I am not aware off.

I'm in the market for a new Snap On ratchet. I'm looking for a 3/8 locking flex head without comfort grip between more or less around 13''-14'' long. I can't find anything I want on the website, although I'm aware of the non-catalog FHLF80 model that is non-locking with comfort grip and 13'' long, does this model exist with a locking head with regular grip? I would appreciate the part number.

Thx

I believe that the FX80 is what you seek.

I just had the tension screw replaced in mine last week. The one that came in the ratchet when I bought it earlier this year stripped (the threads, not the torx socket) and I wasn't able to tighten it anymore.

I was aware of the FX80A model, this one is closer to 11'' though. I really wish there would be one 2''-3'' inches longer....

I'm not aware of a longer locking 3/8 snap on ratchet w/o a comfort grip than the FX80

There's the FHLFD80, a ~ 12"-ish flex (non-locking) available with a black, orange or red hard handle. The comfort grip models add about an inch to the same non-comfort grip ratchets, or so I've read several posts here on GJ (here's one) from people converting their comfort grip to hard handle had to cut ~1" off to make the conversion.

It's because the website is terrible. Here's the kicker: two or three years ago it was awesome, then they made a major change from top to bottom. It used to have a search function that worked, an index that you could go right to things you want, a parts catalog that could show you any exploded view of any assembly, it was the best in the tool business. You could enter a discontinued part number and it would link you to the current version of what replaced it. Unless you already have a part number in hand it's completely useless and I've quit using it altogether. It really is total **** and whoever designed it needs a swift kick to the balls.
