Hey Guys,
So I recently inherited these tool boxes and when I started googling for information, this forum came up. This place is great! I've been missing out. After going through over 100 pages in the Vintage Toolboxes thread, I decided I couldn't wait to get these boxes home to find out more about them.
These boxes and tools belong to my grandfather who was a mechanic for a local power company. I'm not sure if these were his actual boxes he worked out of or just a set he had at the house but I'm happy to have them. My uncle inherited them when he passed and everything just sat in his basement. My uncle has passed away so we're cleaning out his house. The boxes are a mess and there's some water damage but nothing that can't be fixed. I plan on taking them home in the next few weeks and plan on cleaning them and the tools up.
I know the pictures aren't great (there was a BUNCH of stuff preventing me from fully getting close) but I'm curious to know the years on the Remline boxes. The one box is on top of a 3 drawer Snap On box which is on top of a wood cabinet with drawers. That box looks pretty common based off of what I've seen here. The bottom box is the one that I can find any information on as I haven't seen any others with the 2 drawers on the bottom.
Any information would be appreciated. I will try to take better pictures as well.
Thank you,
Paul
