That is going to be very nice. It will be worth all the headaches, once it is finished. I fired My steel erector 3 times during My build, and also the concrete man......I grew up in construction, and should have contracted it Myself. It all worked out in the end.

Oh I know it will. I am excited; this is fairly close to my dream shop. I just hate having to stretch every dollar out to the point of making stuff a pain. But without doing that I could have what I have. Thanks for the encouragement guys...
Yeah the wind is really bad today, def testing tthe screw placement on the tin:lol_hitti

this is the weather advisory for tonight

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8 am CST /9 am EST/ to
6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Sunday...

A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8 am CST /9 am EST/ to
6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Sunday.

* Winds... south winds 20 to 30 mph will continue overnight into
Sunday morning ahead of a cold front. However... as the cold
front pushes across the area early Sunday afternoon... winds will
become southwesterly and continue to increase to 25 to 35 mph
with some gusts around 50 mph at times.

* Impacts... winds this strong may cause minor property damage
and make travel hazardous... especially for higher profile
vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

well the building survived. Found one of the purlins was not nailed to one of the trusses. they are just toenailed and the nails curled/skipped off the truss. The purlin was lifting about 3 or 4 inches off the truss, needless to say I freaked. Luckly there was a lift in the building so I grabbed a couple of c-clamps and pulled it down and shot some screws into a bracket that was off a water bed. LOL it worked. went out today and bought a box of simpson hurricane ties. they are going to be installed.

Called to get a final construction inspection but they say they only come out when the electrical is done. going to upgrade the service to a 400amp and ComEd hasn't even sent a bussniess rep out. they say they are back logged and it will be another week to get someone out to look at it. then how ever long it takes for the crew.

Thanksgiving put a dent in the time to work on the building. Cooked for 20 people and had my daughter in town but I managed to getout there and caulk the saw cuts. Didn't go as easy as I planned or look as nice as I wanted but it worked.

So I did a little more on the welding/cutting cart. Kind of a mistake using uni-strut. I had a few pieces left over from a project at church that I pulled down when they moved. Oh well live and learn , then forget the leasons you have learned. Anyways, my kindhearted loving daughter calls it my walmart redneck welding cart. Smartass kids, Not sure where they get it. anyways I had some blue paint tinted to match the welder. Gonna have to leave the upper box black I think. Not sure about adhesion to that composit plastic. I made a spot for a plasma cutter, here's to hoping and wishing.

I tell you what, these buildings do not hold the solar gain once the sun goes down. The wind always blows out here and it hits the eaves and ***** the heat right out. Glad it only has gotten down in the 30's so far by 10pm

got the platform framed out the other night for one furnace. I am glad I had not ordered them because I was gonna get a down flow and it wouldn't have fit. I ordered the lumber for the build out. It should be here tomorrow. I am so glad I didn't have them do it today we got a couple inches of rain ontop of saturated ground already.

Ok, the truck showed up this morning. Ummm Gee the bulkhead is fixed and gonna be real tight. SO it gets dropped on the ground. As the guy is wrapping up his straps affterwards he says "ya next time have them bring the truck with the forktruck. I must not have much of a poker face cause he kinda jumped in the truck quick. anyways many hrs latter and a lot of pain (bad back from a fall off a catwalk at work)
