Hey everyone, been a lurker for a few years and finally decided to start posting.
So a few years ago i moved to a rental that included a garage. ive been using it to store and work on my cars but recently ive been needing to do some bigger jobs on my 240z (engine swap) so i started cleaning up the garage and trying to make it somewhat decent. unfortunately the garage is easily 60-70+ years old and it shows. we through out these old cabinets and discovered this whole pictured and noticed that there was quite a bit of columns as well. Can anybody explain whats going on here? also the I-Beam you see here does not extend all the way to the wall it seems to end right after the post. on the other side of the beam its embedded into the concrete. also i know that concrete floor is completely jacked up
where trying to figure out a low cost (remember rental) solution for that
