Anyone have a source for buying fasteners? Tractor Supply wants $4.75 per pound!
im willing to give it a shot. mcmaster, bolt depot, belmetric and others ive bought from cant beat their prices. but you gotta order enough for the insane shipping to be worth it. 1 bag of m8 washers is only 2 bucks..shipping is 10Someone mentioned this site on another thread, it looks good.

Yes, carriage bolt washers that I never knew existed before, used to keep the square head from turning in wood...who'd of thunk it.

I find most of the per pound hardware to be better quality too, washers thicker/etc.
I can buy one size smaller washers for a snugger fit, ie, 1/4" flat washer for 5/16" screw/bolt, and can test fit them too.
.
Only less expensive place than TS I've found is garage sales. Same source as plumbing parts,, steel, lumber.
The general consensus on here is that Tractor supply is one the best deals on fasteners .
I think that is a very reasonable price .
