Got a question for you all. I have a 40x70 with 12' ceiling shop and I have the ceiling done with steel and blown in insulation. The shop also has 3 10x10 doors. Located in NW Ohio.
I have tried to get the walls done but im only one guy. With that being said I have about 3/4 of about 20ft done with r19 and drywall (pegboard and cabinets). So 20ft by 8ft tall, there is a 4ft loft space above I didnt get to yet. This is on a west facing wall and the building is stick built with 2x6 and "black board" for the exterior panel.
I am on the fence about finishing the wall insulation. I know 2" of closed cell spray foam would be great to seal the "black board" but I have already started with the one section of r19. So I have 3 options as I see it.
First being just have the remaining areas foamed and move on.
Second tear off the drywall and r19 in that 20ftx8ft section and have it all foamed at once. I feel like the second option is my ocd
Third just finish the rest off with r19 and save about 2g in just insulation cost alone.
