Odd single box end 3 3/8" Williams Wrench

Got this at an estate sale yesterday, thrown in with a bunch of Craftsman, Snap-on, Cornwell and miscellaneous junk tools on a .50 cent each table.

Need to clean it with electrolysis, then becomes garage art.

Likely a dedicated wrench for a piece of equipment or fixture. I'd suspect valve operator. Anybody know what it's for?

I've never seen one in the wild, and I don't remember seeing one in a Williams catalog, but my gun to my head guess would be hub wrench. I have a few others from Herbrand and Vlchek, without the long handle, and smaller AF. Truck maybe?

There is a similar one in the 2018 WN auction marked Mossberg.

Thought might be an M. Looked at alloy artifacts, they show early Mossberg had "feet" on the M, later they dropped it and looked the same as Williams, but upside down. I'm surprised not more text on handle, both usually mark their tools extensively.

But, could be either one.

The Williams <W> is a double V, whereas the Mossberg <M> has parallel/vertical sides. That's what makes me think Mossberg.

That delicate casting is surely not a 'railroad' wrench.
Maybe for a valve of some sort.
Open (or close) valve and hang it back up on the wall.

Not fire service--way too big for a hydrant valve nut which are typically 5-sided.
