Is there such a thing as a premium -- off brand for batteries? I'm trying to keep some little used tools going.
Have a very old set of Dewalt tools that use the 18v XBR battery -- the batteries are getting weak. The only one I really use is the hammer drill. I have a dril and impact set from Mikita that's much smaller and lite. The Dewalt flashlight is obsolete at this point and the jig saw and circular saw come in handy ... say ...once a year. Previous I have been able to get a two pack of the real batteries for around $90. They last 4 or 5 years ... have bought at least 2 sets at this point. Looks like the two real are now around $120 now.
I also have a right angle 12v drill that comes in handy a couple times a year - batteries are working but at 4 years old. Not for long . So I need them as well and I did buy off brand for that back in 16 -- but the store is gone. They came with a guarantee.
Some of the off brand are really cheap...
