https://postimage.io/https://certificity.comI get it! (or do I?)That vise was made by The Salvador Dali Vise Co.

I am pretty surprised that you have never seen an offset vise, they are extremely common this side of the pond.

Looking at it for a time makes me dizzy and want to fall over to the right.
I would buy one and call it art.

what could you do with this that a normal vise can't?
https://postimage.io/app.phphttps://certificity.comOh, sure. Perfectly obvious why I need one now.

This is just the thing that I needed today. Do they sell these today or is it old school stuff?
AJ Thanks for answering, I mistakenly deleted my post. Those Dawn vises look good quality.
I thought it was a Freighliner. In Canada we call them B-trains. The ones with dollies or converters are A-trains.
well they are vices here anyway.Anybody ever make a left handed version?

Thinking (typing) out loud.... why not just mount a regular vise sideways if you're needing the screw out of the way? Biggest problem would obviously be the vertical jaws for normal use. But if you're needing to clamp a pipe vertically, vertical jaws might be an advantage.
Since everyone has more than two vises anyways, mount the other one normally.
