I changed the filter on my oil burner, and then bled the system. The burner fired up, and after about 15 minutes of running, it shut down and the red reset light came on. I pushed the reset, and the burner started to run, but wouldn't ignite. I then re-bled the line and there was no air. I checked the spark and it is good. I also changed the nozzle and reset the electrodes, thinking that the nozzle was clogged. Still no flame. Then I checked the line from the pump to the nozzle tube, and with the burner running, I am getting no oil out of this supply tube. I am assuming that since I can bleed the pump with it running, and get a good stream of oil, that the pump is working. Is there a screen in the pump that could be clogged? To sum this up, there is oil getting to the pump, but not to the nozzle. If I need to change the pump, how difficult is this to do? I have to have this going by the afternoon, since the wife is getting upset and wants me to call for a service tech. thanks
