Hi gents!

Doing a little cleanup on a new to me Toolkraft drill press. Removed the GE motor to inspect the electrical connections and noticed a label shown below. Oil with SAE10…ok.

Anyone that can point me to a good reference for lubrication points on this guy ?

Thanks !

There should be a plug in each end that you remove. Just a drop or two in each end. Over oiling has ruined a lot of electric motors.

10-4. I’ll look for some access ports. A drop or 2 it is!

Think I found them. These little holes lead to the bearing. Oddly, no caps…maybe PO removed :( I’ll figure out something. Thanks for the info @Old hand !

That's the oiling holes . They should have a little plastic plug . Don't know where you could get them. Good luck!

you can make new plugs from almost anything. They just to keep the dirt out . put on your thinking cap & get inventive

i idea, pc of rubber tube & a screw or rivet to expand it slightly

If it's big enough you may be able to use the end of one of these

I shouldn't say there were no plugs...there were, but they were made of saw dust
Yep....I'll likely tap it and make little threaded plugs. Thanks gent!

Thanks Sru...never seen those before and I do a fair amount of masking holes too. Plus...made in USA! I'll give them a shot.
