I found this at a friends store today and thought about buying it but was curious if anyone had a idea of age. I took a pic of the worn out label but you can read a bit. I just love buying old tool boxes for some reason.

What do you think it's worth nine4gmc?

It's only worth what someone will pay. Me, I'd pay $50-60 and feel good but would not sell it for anything less than $100-120 or else I would feel bad...

Old boxes are hard to sell, it takes rarity, condition and someone with the money play with that is interested in that style/brand.

EDITED:Those prices may be way off, just my opinion.

I would say from the logo its from the 1930's era. I believe Blackhawk used a Indian inside of an arrowhead when it first start in 1919 and into the early 20's. If you google Blackhawk Manufacturing Inc, Wisconsin you will find a site tha tells the early history of the company and has pics with the same log just different model number. Great find.:bounce:

Thanks for the info. I really line the feature on the bottom. It has feet with rollers in them. What a great idea and keeps the bottom from rusting out and you can roll it around

I think nine4gmc is in the right ballpark, and to the right collector it could be worth a lot more.

I'd buy that for $50-60 in a NY minute
