Old Forge was in Spring Harbor, Michigan but it got bought by Ken Tool then kind of split up and some things were sold to Mayhew and Ken Tool kept Hub Shark Hub and Bearing tools and a few other things. I think Mayhew still sells the chisels but look through the tool group that still has the Ken Tool as part of it as they sell other brands of tools also.

So does anyone know if there's a chance if warrantying my air hammer bit?

I highly doubt it.

Air hammer bits are disposable anyway. They get worn down, get regrinded sharp again, eventually there's nothing left.

When an air hammer bit is worn out, just buy new ones.

i would sharpen it, but its a hammerhead one, real nice and short, and it broke just on the business side of the collar. the snap on one is a good 2 inches longer. then theres the real long one.

Old Forge was acquired by Mayhew a few years back. Mayhew decided to discontinue a few of their products, but still make a good amount of Old Forge tools with their logo on the tool.

Yes a very "old" thread (now coming up on 10 yrs.) about "Old Forge" tools that I happen to come across but will still post, reviving an old thread.....

Reading through the entire thread it reminded me that I have a set of Old Forge tools that are used for prying panels on vehicles, and other things, etc.

I believe I purchased this particular set from Ebay years back (can't exactly remember, weren't expensive $ but weren't cheap either) because at the time they were exactly the type and style I had been looking for to use (I am a sucker for tools with acetate handles).

Once received, not only just looking at how good and durable they are made but also you can feel the quality put into them, etc. and I definitely enjoy using them whenever the time calls for them to be used.

Even keep them in the original plastic zip lock bag they came in.

Looking at the number sequence on each tool, probably means that this set is just partial from a larger set maybe :dunno:

I had never heard of the brand before and really don't see much mentioned here on the forum but still a good quality made tool IMHO.4D63E849-4C7F-43DB-8022-4AA70E5C2C86.jpeg83E029FB-A67E-4197-85EE-F3187925078C.jpegB7B68F3E-87C2-41EE-8628-6A678CD05C63.jpegD11B2C85-2737-453C-B6EF-07907461A382.jpeg44C05F82-BEF0-4D2B-8F49-FAD7AC3E8F2B.jpeg

Another tool from my visit to Surplus Tools Denver. I am a sucker for stubby screwdrivers. This one is nice in that it has a HUGE tip, at 5/16" x 1/16" thick. I was recently trying to remove a spanner type screw, and my only one that fit in the slot was 14" long. May also fit into plane blade slotted screws. Nice to know its a decent quality brand, had no idea going in. Guessing in 1976+ vintage based on catalogs above.
