It's December and officially cold. Okay, so maybe it was only 65 degrees yesterday in Austin but we still like to pretend it gets cold down here. But for most everyone else it does ...

Thanks for the reminders.

Yes rub it in... :) It did get cold here in KC, we got snow over the weekend and it is hanging around which is unusual around here. Usually we are lucky to get a white Christmas if a grown person can call that lucky. Usually the pure beauty of snow disappears when one must drive on it.

Brrrr. jk.
Great tips on winterizing. I might add also I had an issue in my shop during one winter.
I have only one large Modine heater in one corner and the other side of the shop is a kitchen. I keep the shop at 55 year round and I had a dipping faucet that I did not know about. The pipes (under the sink in a closed base cabinet) got below freezing and froze the pipe which did not allow the water to drain and it flooded the shop.

It's a nice 27 degrees here today :shocking: Another reason why I will be moving to Houston, TX in the spring. I am just plain sick of the cold weather and having to bundle up everytime you go outside.

I lived in Houston back in 96 for a year still cant figure why I moved here :headscrat:confused:

I would rather sweat than freeze

Cant get cold enough fast enough up in MN. Need thicker ice for ice fishing and some snow for the fun sports! 20 degrees right now. I wouldnt mind seeing a week around 0.

Funny. I would much rather have 0 degree days than 80+. IMO you can only take off so much to stay cool in the summer but can always put on enough to stay warm in the winter. Its too warm for me if I sweat at any time during yard work. :wtf:

Me too. I'm a lifelong Minnesota resident and will stay that way. It was kind of funny this year...Saturday I was out mowing the yard, and Sunday I was shoveling snow. :)
