I did a poor job of explaining myself, my friends compressor shuts off at 120 PSI. He thinks it should shut off at 100 PSI like you said, he'd like to know how to lower it to 100 PSI. Thanks for the reply.
Take the cover off the pressure switch and you'll find a small long screw, usually brass, that goes down thru the switch. Turning this screw counterclockwise will decrease the cutout pressure. Back it off a bit and cycle the compressor. Might have to do a few adjustments and run cycles to get it to just where he wants it. Since he's obviously not familiar with this, he needs to make all adjustments with power cord unplugged as there's live power within the switch enclosure anytime the unit is plugged in regardless of whether it's running or not.
