Will Emailing them or calling them also work if I have a cross threaded and damaged cap on a ratcheting hard handle screw driver? ThanksIf you don’t have a truck you can call or email them they will send you a new screwdriver. They typically don’t send out replacement tips even though they just replace the tips on the trucks.
I believe it will. I’m not sure if they have just the cap available. They might just send you a whole new unit too. Will Emailing them or calling them also work if I have a cross threaded and damaged cap on a ratcheting hard handle screw driver? Thanks
Who cross threaded it?Will Emailing them or calling them also work if I have a cross threaded and damaged cap on a ratcheting hard handle screw driver? Thanks
Good question as I am the only one that uses it. One day I went to remove the cap to change tips and to my surprise I couldn’t turn it by hand to remove it. I ended up using pliers to remove it which left gouges on the cap and noticed that the threads are messed up after removal.Who cross threaded it?
Those handles shrink over time. I had an old one and lost the cap. I ordered a new cap (they are available separately) and it would not screw in, too tight. My truck guy ended up just giving me a complete new one.Good question as I am the only one that uses it. Maybe that’s what happened because I know I wouldn’t have forced it on If I felt any resistance while putting it back on.Those handles shrink over time. I had an old one and lost the cap. Thought maybe I could do it myself instead of trying to track down a truck. Around here, it's not easy to find one.Yes, you can replace just the shaft. That is how they do it on the truck, hammer the handle off and hammer it back onto a new shaft.
Sorry I don't know a part number. No Snappy trucks running around your area that could do it for you?
