Ok, my mind is going. I used to have a vlave lash adjusting tool that used a dial indicator to measure the lash, this one was very popular back in the 70s but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it! :headshake

They say the mind goes first, guess I'm ready for the home!

A company in Oakland called Hackett used to make a valve adjuster with a dial...called it the feelzit or something real close to that.

I would be scared to google a Hackett Feelzit, I would be worried something like 2 girls 1 cup would pop up:bounce:

I'm not afraid. Nothing but the exact tool came up. You were safe.

Just to be "adult safe", you could always set you browser security setting the "pre-schooler".:lol_hitti:beer:

P&G Valve Gapper
Oh yeah, I'm sure you're right. Obviously i was just thinking of the wrenches that would combine a socket and screwdriver. P&G valve gappers were a Portland Oregon product. Came in a wood box, I remember my eyes glazing over trying to read the instructions.

Hi Everyone: just picked up this model 300 P&G Valve Gapper. It’s in a nice wooden case. I’m guessing from the 1960’s Era. Going to add it to the rest of the tool collection in my 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Rampside Pickup…

That's still a useful tool, especially if you're using solid lifter cams.

Ayrhead, privatelugnuts has two threads this should be posted in. One is something like "Show your vintage auto paraphanilia" and the other has something to do with "Tappet Wrenches".
