Old Walden Worcester

I've been working on a set of loop-handled Tees for over 10 years now, (meaning, when I happen to find a size in the wild that I don't have, I buy it), and I was glad to snag an early No. 2622 at the flea market.



It's a little fugly, but I love the fancy serifs.



The set exhibits a few varieties of markings in terms of placement and format, suggesting a few different production eras, but pickers can't be choosers. They used a 26XX (where ** = # of 32nds) model numbering scheme. I now have Nos. 2614 (7/16), 2616 (1/2), 2619 (19/32), 2620 (5/8), 2622 (11/16), and a 2625 (25/32).

Old Walden Worcester #1922. 11/32”. A bit thick but must be an ignition wrench. Chrome Alloy. 30’s I assume.

Only a couple catalogs at archive.org to look for the older “Electrical Wrenches”.

Part number 1922 omitted from the ‘32 catalog but is in the ‘41 catalog (as part of 10pc set only).

^ I had a complete set of those in black finish. They went with a 1/4" drive set. Rather uncommon, if I'm not mistaken.
