We are looking at a long chassis floor jack and Omega has some decent prices, are they that price because they are bunk or are they decent?
Is this for the shop or home? And depends on the vehicle you are mainly work on.
The Omega low profile, long reach jack is a good jack that is very robust (I have owned one for four years). Although, it is not especially precision made.
The heavy duty frame on many of them is warped slightly so all four wheels do not sit completely flat and the pump plunger is a poor design. The sheet metal cup that retains the plunger spring can move off-center and the cup will be damaged when you lift something. Just be careful with it and make sure it is centered.
Individual parts are not available (or weren't) and you need to buy a complete pump assembly if something is damaged. In fairness, I was sent a pump assembly for free when mine developed problems and the company had great customer service.

Bottom line: There are not many long reach low profile jacks that can be used for low cars (3.5 inch saddle height). The Omega (and Omega re-brands) has capabilities similar to the much better AC DK13HLQ at a fraction of the cost.
The Models the OP is looking at isnt a "Low Profile", Omega does have Nice Customer service and im suprised that they didnt offer the individual part. Its been awhile since i dealt with them but ive bought Pump Piston assemblies in the Past. As far as the Tweaked Frame?.. I Suspect it just the nature of the beast, When you have such a Long span and Need to Maintain the Low profile your obviously gonna be lacking on Support/Metal during the Lift Stage.
Any other brands you guys recommend? From the recommendations I'll stick with the hydraulic, it seems Omega is a good brand but just curious if there is another brand similarly priced.
I've thought about trying to find an old jack and rebuilding it but those are hard to find.
I have the omega low profile and like it a lot, and I'm waiting to replace it with an ac hydraulic when money allows. It's an OK jack, and shinn fu has branched out. I think they own hein warner now and are still making some of the hw stuff in the US which is a good thing in my book.
btw HiBall, I sent you a PM a couple weeks ago about an old jack I'm thinking of buying, when you get a chance take a look at the pictures.
