Yeah, It is clearly my fault. I should have investigated the snapon company infrastructure and best path of resolution. It is clear I am not a person that should be supported by a snapon truck driver and not being so I was totally out of line in even thinking that I should able to get a snapon tool replaced when there are 14 snapon "stores" at a snapon event. It serves me right that the last snapon truck/dealer took advantage of me. That is what I get for thinking I was worthy of dealing with the Gods of the Tool world.
Let me sum this up. The ratchets I had were JUNK from day one and the customer service (whether it was normal or not) I received sucked. It was below sucking because the fact the last guy took advantage of my ignorance. I tried to post up something positive about the new ratchet being nice and you call me a whiner. I tell you what, how about all the people that think I am just bitching send me 5 bucks and once it makes up for the what the snapon dealer took advantage of me for we'll delete the thread? or just send me a ratchet and 11 bucks. Who is first?
You didn't try to post something positive about your new ratchet, you did that and still complained about SO customer service. I tried telling you that taking a ratchet to a race to be warrantied isn't the best way to go about it. Also tried to tell you what the best way was. I also stated that I thought one of the trucks could have taken 10 minutes to help you out. Never once called you a whiner, just stated that if you had looked into things a little more you would have 2 ratchets and wouldn't be posting about crappy customer service.
We have all sorts of sporting events around me with all sorts of sponsers. The local ford dealership sponsors all sorts of events, should I take my truck to the event and expect him to fix something on it. NO. I call the ford shop and take it there. There are routes to take to get what you want.
Yes it ***** that the dealer took advantage of you. But if you would have made one phone call or one email to snap on before going to a race event to get a ratchet warrantied you would be super happy.
It is what it is but you are still complaining about SO customer service. The dealers you delt with are not run by snap on, they are their own business and boss and some are good and some are bad. But I can tell you that SO customer service is second to none. There are hundreds of threads on here about guys getting stuff warrantied threw snap on when they don't deal with a truck.
Sorry you got screwed but in my opinion continued bashing of snap on customer service isn't called for when all you had to do was make one phone call and you would have been taken care of. Better luck to you in the future and if you aren't sure how to warranty something jusk ask so then you won't have to complain.
